Mens XVs

Wolfhounds Senior Mens Side competes in the New England Rugby Football Union Division 2. Practice begins in early August for the Fall league season from September - mid November, with friendlies, tournaments, and playoffs in the spring from March - Mid May. We also work to offer B-side matches for developing players

Wolfhounds welcome all prospective players of any experience level to come out to training and compete for a spot in the 1st XV. See our recruitment page for more information.

Summer 7s

The Wolfhounds Sevens program competes in the NERFU sevens series, entering an open and social side in each of four New England tournament. Sevens gives veteran players an opportunity to work on their skills and fitness over the off-season and gives college players an opportunity to get a first taste of senior-level rugby. 

Wolfhounds won the NERFU series in 2016, and came second in summer 2017. Coached by Tadgh Leader of Rugby Consulting USA, the Wolfhounds will look to retake the championship silverware in Summer 2018.

We welcome college players and visitors to Boston to play and train with us over the summer; please use the recruitment form or message the Wolfhounds Facebook Page to find out more.

Greyhounds play other New England Old Boys teams and often play in tournaments such as Old Man of the Mountain. Youth Rugby

Wolfhounds offer a range of youth programs, from Under 9s to High School We look forward to welcoming Young Houndz into the senior ranks after they graduate from High School or College.

Young Hounds/HondsNorth: Summer 7s for High School-age players. Please contact coach Greg Bruce at bruceg9@yahoo.com. Greg Bruce is a former national champion with The BIWRFC first side and current coach of Belmont high school. He’s also a MYRO (mass youth rugby org.) select side coach.

Wolfhounds South: The Boston Irish Wolfhound South have teams for U9, U12, U15(middle school) and high school(grades 9-12), we play all age groups in the spring(15's) and we play summer 7's for all age groups as well, both contact and flag rugby for boys and girls. The club is based at the ICC in Canton. All coaches are USA Rugby certified. We look forward to having the kids progress thru our program and welcoming them into the senior ranks when they graduate high school or college.
